Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in Chawton House offers a mixed bag of reviews, with some disappointed customers citing issues such as lost orders, lackluster food quality, and high prices. However, others praised the cozy ambiance, delicious cakes, and exceptional service. The tea room caters primarily to Chawton House visitors, offering a limited menu with standout baking. A guest chef evening was highlighted for exceptional dining experiences. Overall, while there were some negative experiences, the restaurant has potential for serving good food in a welcoming atmosphere, especially for those exploring Chawton House.
Fantastic evening and enjoyed the first guest chef evening meal with bradley walford, exceptional dining, great wine pairs and an excellent atmosphere of simon norma. can not wait in the future for more this evening
There was only a fantastic meal in this pub, a hidden gem in chawton. a must be visited when they are in the outskirts of the city.
Just had a sensational three course Sunday lunch! Food was sensational beautifully presented, great quality and thoughtfully sourced. Atmosphere warm and welcoming, staff lovely. Also a great destination after a beautiful countryside stomp.
The place worth it!. we stopped after we had seen the jane austen house, despite my care that I had eaten in a facility directly opposite a tourist attraction. no worries, eating and service here were excellent! the sausages and maische I had was very tasty and my five-year-old loved his fish and chips.
Friendly staff, excellent eating and good selection of real ales
