"Come for the chips, go with a kebab. The chicken kebabs are simply a meal in themselves. Tender marinated meat mixed with fresh salad spilling out of a large pitta bread.<br/>Good fish and chips too! <br/>If they had butchers pies rather than pukka etc, this place would have everything!"

"Visited many times before, but not for a while. Very very cramped if you like playing sardines your fine. Food was nice no complaints there . Young waitress very polite. Tables are absolutely squashed together. If I was infirm or of a large stature I would have struggled to get in the space. Once crammed In coats were touching the damp walls. Obviously its a very old building but sitting in a damp corner with black mould and peeling crystallised paint on the floor made the visit not so good. Skirting boards filthy covered in peeling mould. Once the table next to us left we were able to make a bit of space to be less squashed. We were the lucky ones those over by the dresser were even more cramped. We did tell staff who apologised, but senior staff stayed hidden in kitchen"

"Have been coming to the bull for many years.the carvery vegetables were all good.but the young guy doing the carvery tried to cut the meat so thin you only got 2/3 of a slice .not the usual portion."
