I live on site and have eaten over a dozen times. I ate Chinese restaurants in all East Providence. They have by far the best brown rice, and they always add soup to any combination order. I found them very consistent and how they serve and prepare the food and I can talk to the egg foo yong as a great dish there, it is really well done. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Golden House Jīn Mǎn Lóu:
Restaurant was closed for awhile. I believe they're under new management, opening again on Nov. 1, 2020. Wait was much longer than usual, despite seeing 5 workers rather than the customary 2. Boneless ribs were more tender, pork fried rice was much closer to plain white rice than usual, and the beef with mushrooms was a much smaller portion than normal. Mushrooms were large and plump though. Beef was minimal. View all feedback.

"I know this is a RI institution but.... First the service was great, I can tell the great waitress won't be there long. My husband ordered a burger which he said was fine. We ended up at Chelos because the 133 Club (best burgers) was packed. My Philly Steak Sandwich had done load of seasoning which was salty and bitter. Plus, way too much American cheese, which added to the salt. I wouldn't order it again, the manager told me next time order it without the seasoning. How was I supposed to know that it would be too salty. Great for a mediocre meal. I get that the owners are far right in their beliefs, but please switch from FOX to something in the middle or sports. If you want to attract a younger diner you need to do this. The customers all look middle age or older."

"Me and my wife decided to try this restaurant out for our anniversary. The food was very good. The waitress was nice but we didn 't care for her to ask us if everything was All good in the hood! regarding if we liked our food. A little unprofessional there. There was a large party that was sat after us and they received their food before we did. We ordered simple menu items such as cavatelli and meatballs and a chicken sandwich and it took almost an hour for the food to come out. I understand the large party makes you more money but also consider other people 's time who were seated before. Again, this review sounds worse than our actual experience but these things need to be addressed. The food again, was very good and the restaurant was very clean. We will return, it 's just this experience could definitely be improved upon."
