Stumbled upon this place for an afternoon drink. A very traditional pub, inside and out. A very traditional landlord too. Staff were absolutely the best, we were all made to feel very welcome. So much so, that we returned on Saturday evening and sampled kareoke night, great fun. We came back for Sunday lunch, which was absolutely amazing and great value for money. What Linmar1 doesn't like about Cross Keys Public House:
Pub looked really nice from outside. Inside it was clean and the bar lady was friendly. Football was on plenty of locals watching. Dog friendly. Surprisingly the real ale wasn’t too great. Shame about the incredibly irritated cranky landlord making everyone feel uncomfortable with his attitude all over a tv remote. If I’d have been the bar lady I’d have walked out! Shame really.
