"Having read fantastic reviews, I was hoping to treat my guests to a good experience. Oh dear. We walked through the door at 1pm on Sunday, thinking it would be buzzing. The place was empty, apart from a solitary man sitting in the window. It was dark, unwelcoming, and smelt of stale fat. The two young girls behind the counter gave no welcome, in fact looked extremely uncomfortable and didn't really know what to do with us. We made a polite attempt at looking at the menu, and beat a hasty retreat. We had a fantastic meal in a Saturday Market Deli, which was absolutely on top of the game."

"Went for a celebratory meal but left feeling somewhat wanting more and taken advantage of . The meals were acceptable portion size compared to other Thais I have been to were small . Whilst the food was nice nothing blew me away or my friends. The restaurant was quite cold maybe due to heating costs ?? But the main end to the evening was the calypso coffee at £7.75 each ! This was very disappointing end to our night out . Whilst prices clearly shown we wanted an end a desert but nothing really stood out . Sorry about this review but left underwhelmed."

"Lovely food. Beef goulash and potato cake is beautiful and very filling. Comfort food. Polish decor and a great selection of drinks and gorgeous cocktails. Please can you do pierogi . Fabulous staff. Clean too. I shall return."

"This place is fabulous. The staff can't be more welcoming and friendly. Very happy to please. Such nice surroundings too. The food was so lovely. The old lamp room is the place to go!! "Tasty takeaway, called in and ordered a hot shot pizza and lamb kebab. Both were great, fresh and tasty. Loads of toppings on the pizza with fresh chilli's and the lamb patties in the kebab were delicious, served on a pitta 4 x large patties, salad and sauces. Great prices, yes not a modernised kitchen but hey the food was good traditional. Yes will go again"

"Just had a beautiful meal here! Haven't been for a while but the food is still amazing. We had the mixed grill and chicken gyros followed by a chocolate brownie to share (couldn't manage one each! All delicious and throughly enjoyed. The staff are so lovely and even pushed our baby around in the pram so we could sit and enjoy our meal. You don't get that personal touch and service everywhere. Will be back soon, hopefully!"

"My wife and I went to Sunday dinner yesterday. I chose the bark and my wife had that huh, there were also pork and a lamb special. or you'd have mixed meat. both meats were very well cooked with large portion sizes. The...main courses came with a nice and extra crimson. really nice home made yorkshire pudding. we shared a Bakewell tar for the desert. all the food was fresh and we were very satisfied with our decisions. beautiful staff. really friendly. beautifully kept village pub. very clean and well furnished. we plan to return to the near future for an evening meal."
