It was warm and welcoming in view of the attempt outside was 31 but wind chill was 21. The decor wasn't ready. The staff was welcoming. The pulled pig had a good smoke taste of the turkey was not dry. The baked beans were some of the better I have at BBQ sites. We ate here on the recommendation of the office staff at the campsite Adjacent. We were not disappointed View all feedback.

Came here because a review of someone who said they talked to a few from Texas who asked if they were to eat here, and after that the guy said he was from Dallas and that was the best brisket he ever had, but tell the guys in Texas because they would do him in. I agree they'd put him in. Not the best bride I've ever had. Not bad. Must cut a knife. Looks a little overcooked. Aaron Franklin is not. Tim Izidowski is not... View all feedback.

But to be fair, I don't think St. Louis is known for Brisket, and this is Illinois. Perhaps it is the best brisket south of I-70 and north of the Mason-Dixon line east of the Mississippi west of Effington. Who knows.
HITS! Big BBQ and we? are all on the go and have sampled many BBQs. Really well done. Great employees who constantly checked for us to make sure we were happy. The baked beans were probably the best we've ever eaten. Also homemade potato chips. YUM! They were also very good at food allergies. Eat here! I'm glad you did it!
The best we had! The ribs were so good and so delicate, we never used the sauce that comes with them on the side. The onion rings were fantastic. They have an almost sweet crispy coating. The potato salad should die. It's like it has cream cheese in it. The roasted bread was also excellent. As for the service. It was wonderful. They come as a guest and go as a friend. Don't miss this place. That's the best.
Stumbled on this place searching for good BBQ on a drive home through the east side of the Mississippi; glad we found it. Cute place, owner's wife explained the menu. We got Pulled Pork and Brisket plates which includes two sides. Pork very moist and lean, a bit weak on smoke flavor, but still excellent! Brisket plate had 8 thick slices, wonderful smoky flavor, tender, better than any steak! Baked beans the best according to my wife. Potato salad and homemade slaw excellent. Pasta salad was a bit sweet but still very tasty. Will definitely go back. If you are traveling through, worth a small detour, just a couple miles off I-55. Highly recommended! ????????????
