Love this place! Definitely hands down one of my favorite places to go! Not only for the incredibly creative food and drink menu that they have but also for the management, workers, and chef. The manager Seth is absolutely amazing. He takes the time out to personally visit tables and make sure your time there is going well. It’s something that I don’t often see happen as much anymore in the restaurant business. Also,... View all feedback.
What Michael Kingston doesn't like about The White Oak Tavern:
Another pretentious restaurant for visitors from NYC. Pasta cones are almost as d as cup o ' pizza . The loaded tavern fries are over-salted fries with sweet and sour pork belly and an unappetizing cheese sauce. The pasta in the cone tasted good, but was difficult to eat. I wish I had tried one of their $16 burgers. View all feedback.
It's closed for business. They are hoping to reopen. We need a sports bar. Good food, good prices.
Unfortunately, this is one of the many restaurants that have tried to make it work in this building. None have been successful and I expect this one will meet the same fate. There were only 3 other tables during the time we were there and it is a large building. The prices are high for what you get. We ordered nachos as a starter, and they were bare when they finally arrived 45 minutes later. We actually asked for additional queso blanco because they were so dry and instead got a dish of microwaved Velveeta. Apparently they are running out of items or not ordering enough to begin with. Drinks were good, they have specialty beers if you like a variety of brews, but they are pricy. We were so disappointed we went elsewhere for dinner. Overall my impression is that they are poorly managed. With other options down the road, it's not worth the trip.
Everything was great from the second we walked in. The guy at the door was friendly and smiled and actually spoke to us, not that typical just nod your head and smile but like real talk. We came in about an hour before closing (always a 50/50 chance with a restaurant). The menu caught our eyes immediately! I got the Crispy Chicken Alfredo and my partner got the Chilean Sea Bass also the artichoke dip. We DEVOURED it all!! Waitress was alone with 2 other tables and we waited for NOTHING!! Great service, Amazing Menu!! We will be back. And we also own a local business in the area and now we have another recommendation for our customers.
WOW, LET ME TELL YOU! I got the pizza dip with pita holy moly, that sauce was fire ? my taste buds were definitely dancing! I absolutely love French onion soup so for my entree I got the French onion burger, one word DELICIOUS! The burger had so much flavor. And lastly I tried the boozy milkshake, the flavors were great and so was the presentation!Overall great experience, 5 the staff was absolutely amazing!
Great service. The salad with Watermelon was great. I wish more people would know about this place and go there, so this place can become a local attraction. Because it has great potential. Especially since there are not that many great places in the area for people with more selective palates. Being from a related business, I couldn't help but think about it. It would be great if they would create a separate from the main menu house special go-to selection. That way they would always have something great, easy to make and keep up with, familiar to locals, and easy to recommend to new visitors. Best of luck and thank you!
