What Michelle I doesn't like about Sushi Yokozuna:
Was excited to try this place due to the positive reviews. However upon entry the man at the counter seemed very cold and stand off ish and was not friendly. We made our order and waited over 30 minutes for our first dish and then another 15 minutes for our second dish and waited another 20 minutes for them to say they could not make our final dish as they’ve run out of rice and will be a 30 min wait. The customers who later ordered me got their dishes, but I waited at least 30 minutes and still don't get my food, they weren't busy at all.
The best sushi in the east!We love this place, the freshest and tastiest sushi I have tried in the eastern suburbs. Great variety and everything is freshly made. Nice location and bright and airy space.One star is lost for the lack of service. The staff are quite abrupt and don’t make you feel welcome. However it’s not personal, they are just very busy.
I ordered the sashimi plater, chikenkatsu udon and takoyaki. I have lived in Japan for more than half of my life and sushi being my favorite food, I was always disappointed at every single sushi restaurant I have tried in Sydney until I tried this one and I felt in love with it. Everything same or quite similar to what I used to have in Tokyo. Loved it and I’ll come back for sure.
Hidden gem, 10/10 sushi, boiled in owned, better than famous restaurants.
