Some were disappointed by loud and disruptive pool players, while others praised the friendly service and delicious food. The carvery roast dinner was particularly popular, with generous portions and high-quality food. Despite some hiccups, many guests enjoyed their visit and mentioned they would return. The ambiance of the pub seemed welcoming and comfortable, with a friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Overall, the Dolphin Pub and Hotel appears to be a popular spot for a meal or drink, with some areas for improvement to ensure a consistent experience for all patrons.
In the UK visiting family and fancied English Breakfast. Went in Dolphin Pub and Hotel. Arrived at Bar at 11.50 am important to note time Was served at 11.55am Ordered 2 Breakfast Baps and was told had to order from lunch Menu I asked what time breakfast was served until and was told 11.50 so they have 10 minutes to change over ! Server never went to check or anything ! It's a shame , seems like a nice pub in small rural town ! Will never come back but now drinking our coffee before going elsewhere for food !
The beers cheap, but to be honest the food ain't all that. Fun place to go late at night for a bit of a drunken time with friends
This pub in Botley is vibrant, fun but still has the charm of a local pub. I think most people that go in there are from Hedge End and Botley and they have kareoke nights and quiz nights etc. The bar and restaurant part are at separate ends but it would be nice to maybe divide it somehow as when you are eating you can hear people getting a bit rowdy. The food is nice and hot and there is plenty of choice on the menu but can take a while to come at peak times. The pub is family friendly with decent childrens meals and it is very reasonably priced.
We popped in for a quick bite and had an enjoyable evening. Service was great, really friendly and attentive. The food was of a high standard and portions generous. Will return.
Lovely location right in the mddle of Botley village. We only had drinks the real ale was the best we'd tried in the area, however still yet to try others.....
