Don't be fooled by the reviews from non-Chinese people, this place is second to none for their 100% authentic shanghainess cuisine. The soup we had taste exact as how I'd expect it to taste had we ordered it in Shanghai. The sweat and sour fried fish (not its proper English name) was devoured within 10 mins. You have to arrive here early to secure a table but that's no guarantee of value for money - nice decor, quite clean but food was so-so and quite expensive - for these prices one would expect better, service very ordinary, dirty plates not removed after each course, had to ask continuously for the tea and water glasses to be refilled and of course a surcharge for using a credit card; we won't go back. read more.
