"Great food. neat menu with fresh ingredients and simply well prepared. the steak was perfectly boiled and delicate, the sauce rich. the lamb had a large bed of beans with a tasteful sauce, well worked. also the burratta and the prawn tacos were great. not complaining in the menu. Maybe just a bit warmer in the inner and one or two decent scotches on the beverage menu. wein selection was big enough. everything in all there is something for everyone and made good for a very reasonable price."

"Is there a decent sushi bar / restaurant in Sydney? The answer is no. (These include Sake, Sookyo and Sushi e) Hukuya is an immovable, friendly and casual restaurant next to Eastwood Station, which offers a range of typical sushi and sashimi boats. Most of their combos are unimaginatively and often, but considerably expensive (considering the location). Grief

In the Korean restaurant yesterday and several items from your menu including vegetable salad, Hukuya Special Sashimi / Sushi and Adegashi Tofu ordered. First, the tofu was a cheap, simple beancurd from a typical Asian supermarket and not the smooth, silky and fragrant Japanese tofu. Grief
Grief
Second, the sashimi and sushi were border average - the tuna was not stale, but no fresh catch. Like more than 100 other Japanese restaurants in Sydney, Hukuya did not use the high-quality Japonica rice that radiates a natural scent and consists of short round translucent grains that has a natural sticky texture when cooked. This is a pity, because even street hill in Singapore and corner supermarket outlets in Hong Kong prepare your sushi with high quality grains, but three times cheaper. SydneySiders as we are linked! <br>
Grief
Third, the shrimp tempura was not the usual tariff. The thick, crisp dough overwhelmed the fresh, juicy taste of the shrimp, while the diving sauce lacked the taste of garlic, ginger and rice wine vinegar. Grief
Grief
Once again, the only saving grace is a good company and endless gossip !! I would be immensely thankful if someone could share a decent Japanese restaurant in Sydney ????"
