"Drove a way to dinner in this restaurant. It was a while on my visit list as I had heard so many good things about it. I was impressed by many aspects of my visit, but I would not call it phenomenal. The ambience was dark and cozy with a spacious dining area and I large deck overlooking the water. Their seats reflect the new standards of social distancing. The menu offers peppering of seafood and lawn related items. My partner and I chose a sample each. The roasted shrimp dinner was a standard size part and not for a heavy eater. They were in the range of 14 frits with a wet type of battery. The frits were naturally coated with cut starch and cooked for perfection. The Blackened Chicken Alfredo was served with Linguine noodles and the Alfredo sauce tasted as if it was missing all the fat from the cream and butter. Probably for health lol. The blackening season was quite mild and would be palliative for most Diners. Both meals were served with an endless house salad. I swear there was butter salad and a nice parmesan vinaigrette. All the staff we met were super friendly and eager to ensure that our needs were met. Riley was super attentive as our waitress and helpful with inquiries. The chef was super nice and proud of the presentation and quality of the dishes. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who would like to visit by car or by boat as they have free parking for both. Prices are appropriate for the area and the shares are sufficient."

"We had the honors of visiting and eating here at the cafe before it was fully open for a Valentine's dinner special. We try to stop here every time we are in the area. Last time we got a couple dozen fresh oysters to take home. This time we had a party of 4 and everyone loved their lunch. BLT and Coleslaw, Garden Veggie Burger and Crowder Peas Salmon Burger and Peas Greens (black-eyed peas and green beans) Pecan Crusted Chicken and Spinach Prices in the market can be a little high, but given its location, I can respect it. They are definitely worth a visit!"

"Perk Avenue is a great place for good food and a wonderful cozy old atmosphere. Was there to hear that a Fabulous band THE SQUIRRELHEADS last night and felt like I was in New Orleans - she kicked it My friends I had delicious dinners of pig belt shrimps, along with delicious appetizers. Our server Sara “Safety” was kindly attentive. Can't wait to go back"
