We went last week to lunch in this hostel.Full parking, restaurant full...c is good sign...Arrived at 12:15 we left at 14:30 for entry, dessert with incredibly long waiting times. The smoked salmon entrance very simplistic,1/2, toast, and a little salad, resistance flat, good but swimming sauce. Trents, especially pending. View all feedback.
For a long time, we have not visited this restaurant for some time. service for fast and friendly but not hurrying, the menu is klasmatic French cuisine with a selection of meat fish, not sure whether it is a vegitarian option. We...both had meat dishes that were well cooked for the desert we had the cafe-gourmant option, which was well presented and very nice. for about 30 euro with a drink then I think it is a good value. the restaurant is located on the main road to saint omer, shortly after exit 4 on the autobahn a26. Note that the restaurant is open only during the day (11:30 15:00) there is no evening opening.
We departed from the autobahn before we return to the first restless, to which we have come, and eat fabulous. even with 1 vegan, they have opened something that was delicious. husband had steak with senfsauce, tasty. would be recommending
We drove back to calais and wanted some so drawn from the autobahn to find a restaurant and stumbled over l auberge what a great foundation, there was a lot to do what was a good sign. we order what looked like a nasty pot as we saw that someone eat it, eating it was amazing and very cheap. very recommended and I will call again the next time definitiw
We did a bit of research to find a place for Sunday lunch returning to the Tunnel from Champagne. The location couldn't have been more convenient, off the A26 but even if it involved a bit of a detour we would definitely return. It's a...lovely typical French family restaurant with generous meals, beautifully cooked. The four of us didn't really experience the range of dishes on offer as we all rather boringly chose the delicious scallops and leek cream sauce for starters and we all had steaks for the main! By that time we were feeling a bit full so we didn't even get to try desserts, which is a shame. Maybe next time! The steaks were cooked as requested, lovely home made chips and mixed veggies. Our bottle of Cotes du Rhone was very reasonable indeed and you can also have wine by the glass or by pichet if you wish. The coffees were generous , the service good and the place was welcoming. We loved it! Probably best to book, certainly for Sunday lunch, as they were turning people away. One to remember.
Called in on the way to St Omer. A really great meal served in pleasant surroundings and friendly attentive service. Not haute cuisine, just good quality honest French food.
