"In the middle of nowhere, this restaurant is at the tardoire. You can eat nicely on the terrace on the river's shore. The service is fine, but it's a little stiff. The dishes look festive and the taste is navenant. A rapist if you're near montbron. It's not very cheap."

"Although we live near to Chabanais, this is the first time we have eaten here. We had booked a table and it was clear that this was very necessary, Covid-19 or not. The three of us had the plat du jour and the price, which...includes a 1/4 litre of wine of one's choice (colour! , was only €14 for four courses. On the day, the main dish (plat was some excellent beef in a simple sauce with a large boiled potato or, for an extra €1, chips could be had. The service was extremely quick, with the host/owner taking orders electronically on his device and transmitting all this to the waiting staff. So, in summary, relatively simple food, well prepared and cooked and great value for money. We shall return."

"Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here and amazed at value...€57 incl aperitif and wine. Wonderful choice with unusual twist .....Tomato gelee with prawns was lovely, Skate wing with caper flowers , Raspberries with basil oil. All very delicious and great favour combos.Wish we lived near by as would become regulars ! Would certainly recommend."

"Very nice quick lunch with our family and our dog. Quick service, nice food, especially the set menu which was filling. Really nice that they allowed a baby in a high chair and a dog under the table."
