I visited Antid and had to check out the Chicken Kitchen after watching Adrian's Facebook videos. Her whole family loves everything that's served there, and the staff is so funny! My experience was amazing; the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly! If I ever get back in the area, I will definitely come back! What User doesn't like about The Chicken Kitchen:
I mean, it's fast food but without the fast part or standards of cleanliness and efficiency. The place stinks of old grease. Everything I touched was sticky. There are years of crud built up around the trash cans. There were no clean tables at all. Food was bland and cold. View all feedback.
Love the potatoes and gravy. Old school cooking at its best.
OH YEAH.. The place looks like a greasy spoon... get over it. i dont think its been remodeled since jimmy carter was president, so what... eat the chicken, thats what you are there for. Edenton doesnt have decent chinese food, and I dont know what that stuff is that passes for pizza.but fried chicken ? oh yeah we got that ! as good as any place north of the equator.
Great Fried Chicken. This restaurant is best for when you wanting some fried chicken. The many times I have eaten here the chicken has be consistently delicious. The biscuits are offered 2 ways, fluffy of flat. They also have other things on the menu such as some seafood and Bar-B-Que, but if your going to make the pilgrimage to Edenton you really need to eat the chicken. Also, bring cash because they don't take credit cards.

While I agree that the staff can be rude at times, I must say that the chicken is absolutely delicious, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays! It's important to remember that this isn't a fast-food restaurant, so it's unrealistic to expect the food to always be ready immediately. Personally, I prefer my food fresh and hot, so I don't mind waiting a bit. As for the decor, it's quite plain, but the focus should really be on the food, not the ambience. I do believe they could improve on cleanliness, and not all of the staff have a bad attitude.
