We ate an early lunch during a weekday, so not very many patrons. Very friendly service. My wife loved the chicken alfredo. The Anthony sandwich was also very good. Nice casual atmosphere and Chicago feel. Prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back. View all feedback.
What Louisa Towne doesn't like about Cordon's Taste Of Chicago:
The atmosphere was nice, the place was clean. I ordered spaghetti and wings and gyro sandwich to share. The spaghetti could use some flavor, it tasted like the sauce came from a can. The wings were great but small and the sandwich was good. The bread was soft and fresh. View all feedback.
It's been years since I last visited Cordons! We decided to have dinner at this restaurant and tried their pasta dishes. To start off, we ordered the Sears Tower Cheese Sticks, which were plump and delicious. For my main course, I had the Slammin's Sammy's Lasagna, made with homemade lasagna noodles, marinara, ground beef, mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese. It was tasty. My friend opted for the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, which consisted of fettuccine pasta with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken breast, spinach, and mushrooms. Luckily, he shared some with me, and I have to say it was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be ordering that next time. The selection of alcoholic drinks is limited to Cordons cocktails. I tried the Fresh Fruit House Sangría, but I wasn't too impressed with the presentation or taste. We accidentally ordered a bottle of Rosè, but thankfully it turned out to be a good wine. Overall, the service was great for our Friday evening dinner.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and well worth the wait! The waitstaff is both friendly and attentive. I have to mention that even though it's not shown in the pictures, the pizza here is absolutely incredible!
The Mac and cheese bites may not look impressive, but they are actually quite good - baked and deep fried. The chicken Alfredo portion is generous so you won't leave feeling overly stuffed, and I appreciated the addition of spinach and mushrooms in the sauce. The sweet tea was just right - not too sweet or bitter. The cozy atmosphere allows for a relaxing dining experience with affordable prices. The staff was friendly as well.
We were looking for a good pizza place and we met the jackpot, the pizza was good when my kids were pretty and they are great critics. the pizza pie is a must that we have chicken and vegetables in our, it was big left for lunch and it was still good, the kids had a 16 inc it was great for them, but the people are nice it?s a family business so good atmosphere. The big game area is crazy a park, basketball, volleyball, football and seating area when you have a party back that it was so cool. It's $5 to get back in the cold and it's free when you eat there. So check this place, tell them that the Grant family sends you?? and the front host is cool I think she is the niece of the uncle she is cool broken the story for me she is a sweet heart
