"We had a delicious dinner with the roquefort starter ravioli, followed by the fish (sea bass) chicken, then the walnut whip affogato for dessert. I would have enjoyed a few more veg with my main. Our third diner was later than expected and the staff were very accommodating in preparing serving the main entirely out of sync. The food is excellent but the portions aren 't large (which was perfect for us). There aren 't that many tables so make sure you reserve. The only tiny point for improvement is that the acoustics are less than perfect when the restaurant gets more crowded."

"Lovely restaurant in the Main Street in Cockermouth. The owner and his wife as well as their service are friend and helpful. The food was very good! Having just been in Turkey 6 months ago, I must say the food in this restaurant was better than in Turkey. We ordered a few starters and mains and everything was absolutely delicious! My personal favorites were: sigara boregi (filo pastry rolls filled with feta), Ali nazik kebab (lamb kebabs on a bed of aubergine and pepper yogurt).
