we visited cellar door during a weeking in edinburgh and have sampled both her meat and vegetarian six-course taste menu. it was delicious! our waitress nicola told us about each cursor and we enjoyed recommending everyone with the wine tastings. she made the seventh experience even more pleasant. would definitely recommend and return for more. I booked in advance as it was festival time and a good job I did as many people were turned away. The staff were pleasant and talkative but overall the service was a bit sluggish. The food was well okay. Nothing special and lacking in a lot of areas primarily flavour. Whilst the presentation was good the contents didn't live up to the image they presented.
