What User doesn't like about Gautam's:
Made booking online through app and claimed they didn’t know about booking. Not a good start. Ordered popadoms and pickles, starter and main. After 10 minutes the starter turned up, we stated we hadn’t had popadoms yet and the waiter asked “would you like me to keep your starters warm then” wow what a shock. We cancelled the popadoms and kept our starters. Funnily enough the starters were not hot but just warm. They... View all feedback.
Excellent, tasteful dishes, very polite service. Really enjoyed the food which was moderately spicy (for my taste it could have been more spicy). In the cons the location of the spot (not downcenter).
Really enjoyed a lovely meal, friendly staff and good value for money will be back!
Wee gem of a place. Staff great, service quick and efficient. Good curry.
Amazing food and good service. We started with the Chef special app platter and everything on it was amazing all bursting with great flavors. My husband has the lamb Rogan Josh which he said was excellent. The highlight was the meal I had which was a slow cooked lamb shank( dont remember the name). This was far the best slow cooked lamb shank I had ever had. It feel off the bone and flavors were perfect. Naan was great. The only area I would advise about. If you are looking for a good wine or a variety of wines to compliment you will not find them. The only serve Indian wines( we had the Shiraz) which for us was too spicy to go with our food. List is probably ok for locals although out country visitors( like us) would like to see maybe syrah from Rhone or Cab Franc or reisling from France, NZ or Australia. Also fruity Chardonnay would pair nice.
We have been visited a couple times already and the food is always excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend the restaurant.
