This little shop is one of several locations in Edmonton. This one served excellent sandwiches and very good soup at reasonable prices. Everything was high quality and my wife and I enjoyed our lunch. It is busy and it is easy to see why. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fifendekel:
Fifendekel has been around for a long time and has been pretty reliable for a decent soup and sandwich lunch. They USED to be known for great pie no longer. I had a slice of blueberry and it was a gelatinous glob of blue...syrup. Barely an intact blueberry in sight! While I cannot say for certain what they use for filling but it reminded me of the canned fruit pies you used to get in a substandard diner. View all feedback.
I love this place so much that I drive from calgary to buy their amazing cake and vice versa with their beautiful personal. saskatoon berry cake coming next week!
I love the turkey sandwich from here. it is so good and fresh. I added the pasta salad today and it was also top notch. no cake today, but I never had a bad cake from here.
Excellent suppe and sandwich. the sunflower bread is made there and is delicious! the potato bacon soup was also amazing!
Fifendekel has been there for a long time and is quite reliable for a decent suppe and sandwich lunch. they didn't want to be known for big cakes anymore. This is an amazing gem in Edmonton! They make the most amazing homemade sandwiches, delicious soups and a huge selection of homemade pies that rival Grandmas. You choose the contents of your sandwhich toppings. I love coming here instead of the typical restaurant because it...is healthy (maybe not the pies ; real food with a friendly atmosphere. FYI they are usually only open until 4 or 5 in the afternoon good for breakfast, lunch or afternoon coffee. As well it is deli style as opposed to table service. Today I had a huge tuna sandwich with lettuce, sprouts, pickles, tomato, a bowl of tomato tortellini soup and ruhbarb pie!
