Stopped there on Wednesday after a long drive from Newcastle. The lady came out and offered us both a free tea or coffee and in a proper mug which was so nice of her. Just attempted to eat probably the worst fish chips I've been served up ! Lovely staff, but seemed like yesterday's left overs. Small portions, rubbery batter, very little tasteless fish and overall very disappointing. I put the previous poor experience down to a once off, but today sadly confirmed this. read more.
