only had breakfast here where we stayed not offer, but it was super delicious and fill. the avocado toast comes with spinat, strawberry and chia seeds on the top, which initially seemed surprising, but tasted phenomenal. the personal mentioned their family eating always offer a vegan option. What User doesn't like about The Driftwood Surfer:
The smoothies at this restaurant were the worst we've ever had. They were essentially just milk mixed with a few chunks of fruit, so they tasted like milk with a hint of bananas. The staff seemed clueless about customization options and overall it was a disappointing experience. Save yourself the trouble and money and go somewhere else! View all feedback.

In all fairness, we did not end up eating at this restaurant, so this review does not cover the food itself. We had intended to try the food here. We saw a board with the daily menu (without labels) and inquired about making vegetarian options vegan or if a vegetarian plate could be prepared. Unfortunately, the staff was not well-informed and did not seem very enthusiastic about accommodating our requests. I had higher expectations for the largest hostel in the city. Every good restaurant in Guatemala usually offers an adapted version of the traditional "plato típico."
None of the breakfast options are vegan, but they were happy to accommodate by removing all non-vegan ingredients for me.
What was not to love was the breakfast cracked on vegans when I asked Aswel as dinner, creating a completely separate menu for vegan buffet style) and it is absolutely lush, I did not want to leave this place. Plus share my breakfast with potato the pig
