We got here for a late lunch after having been hiking during the morning and early afternoon. The food was great.
Had been wanting to come to this restaurant for many years. The menu was 12 euros per person for 3 courses including wine, coffee extra. The food was good but nothing stood out as exceptional. Salad crisp and fresh, fiduea was okay, the sardines were quite good as was my steak. Both mains served with chips. The house white was not to our taste at all but the house red replacement was apparently very drinkable as my partner had 3 glasses. We had heard many good things about this restaurant in the past, maybe it has changed or maybe we just arrived on a not so good day, in any case I would not discount it if anyone is in the area and wants a good, value for money meal. I personally am amazed in an area growing such good wines and selling them for €1.40 for 2 litres (Gandesa Co-operative) that wine such as today's was placed on the table, for that reason I marked this only as Average.

This restaurant is worthy of a stop and we would certainly recommend it.
We were a pre-booked party of 8 and went for lunch on a hot Sunday in July. We had 3 children with us who are fairly good when it comes to food, but we didn't feel there was a huge amount to satisfy them. 2 had the steak and 1 had sausages. For adults though, this is a good place with lots on the menu to chose from. The sea food looked amazing but I missed that on the menu! We had the 4 course set menu which was 21 Euros to include wine and bread, so can't really go wrong. Starters, mains and desserts were all good quality and despite the language barrier, the service was fine. No veg though and each meal seemed to be served with the standard chips and half a cooked tomato! Outside, this place looks nothing special and fairly uninviting but don't let this put you off as its worth going to.
Nice lunch, not expensive with wine. The place is upstairs, 2nd floor with a nice view (see pictures). Close to the wine bodega.
