Not been for about a year but what a difference. No atmosphere. When we've been before was always busy but was so quiet tonight. The food was just so average. We're from Sheffield and love Elland and was looking forward to eating here, but so disappointed tonight.... the young staff are very sweet, heard one of the managers talking to them in not a nice way... uncalled for. "Dixons used to be amazing with great value for money and the best ice cream around but recently it just get worse each time. Went yesterday. Ice cream was so sloppy it was more the consistency of a milkshake. I asked for cream on top and it was again sloppy and made me feel ill so I ended up leaving it. I told the woman serving the ice cream was very runny and she just shrugged it off. I’d like to say it could be a one off but I’d gone to the swan lane Dixons as the Leeds Road one is always melting ice cream and rude servers but swan lane was no better. The best I would say is the one down in Batley but this is hit and miss on what theirs is like which makes me think the company just doesn’t really care anymore. I discovered Dixons in my uni days and since have come back to Huddersfield at least once a month with family to introduce them to it but I think now it’s time to stop. Each year they make the cones and tubs smaller and the price goes up. Save yourself £5 and just get a McFlurry."

"Eating was all nice, everyone enjoyed it (especially me! . can honestly say the gluten-free fish cake was the best fish cake I ever had. no idea what was in it to make it so delicious, but it was fabulous. even if we were out there, it was hot. I managed to push in a smokey sunshade that was great."
