Pretty good! In Ellsworth, ME is this cozy dinner. My husband arrived at 9:00 and sat fast. Waitress was helpful and quick with drinks. The 2 eggs with ham and sausage, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich ordered. Both with homemade frits and homemade bread. Food came out hot and tasteful! Would definitely stop here again! What Ottis Lockman doesn't like about Martha's Cafe:
They don?t wash their hands AT ALL nor use gloves. The older guy at the register with the curly hair takes cash with his bare hands, then turns around and plates muffins with the same bare hands. I?ve seen the short lady with short hair wipe her nose several times then spread butter on guest toast. That is utterly DISGUSTING!!!! As I?m watching everything he hands me my food. Food was delicious! Ate all the egg omelette it had everything in there . The cut up potatoes was a bit to much to eat of. Breakfast took forever to get to our table. So waiting was ?. Heads up bring Cash with you (ONLY accept CASH) there is an ATM nearby if forgotten. Server was ??. Price was reasonable.

Great experience. That's always. These negative reviews are intentional people who need to find something wrong in a place. It is down at home diner, clean, good food, friendly and full of sweet people do it best.
A little confusing and frustrating experience. Place was busy, but there were some open tables. All three of the servers intentionally ignored my wife and I for about 10 minutes (literal past several times, give us views, but not ever again smiles or even say 'll be with you in a few minutes. We finally sat after another couple came in and was immediately greeted and offered a table. There were two more, following groups of people who are enthusiastically welcomed and sitting, as well as given menus and cutlery. We waited another 10 minutes on a dirty table without ever handing over menus or even being welcomed/directly recognized. If the staff was just busy, I would understand. That's not a problem. But greeting, seating and serving of three groups of people after we left, while we ignore ourselves at the same time, is something I have never experienced in a restaurant all over the country. Really 1 star service and really disappointing. On the other hand we went to another café, just over a mile on the street, and had a much better experience: They were as busy as Martha 's, but we were greeted with a smile and sitting in sixty seconds. Food and service was great, and the café was all we hoped was Martha's diner.
Five stars. classic American diner for breakfast. We loved it!
