What David Good doesn't like about 11a Kitchen Lounge:
Not sure what happened on our visit. Went for lunch on their limited (but still good) menu. it was fairly quiet (3 other tables), but service was very slow, and the waiter seemed very clumsy around the COVID rules, and gave a very poor response when we told them we were in a 'rush ' (we only had an hour and a half). "I'd been to the Wellington before and had been impressed; usually the food is very good, but for sunday roast it is to be AVOIDED. The meat was very overcooked, especially the beef; extremely tough. The giant yorkshire puddings were store-bought and hard as a rock. Potatoes were cooked well but entirely unseasoned. All in all it very much reminded me of the roast you get in a hospital. For a place that normally has good food it was shocking. I could cook a better roast with my eyes shut."
