"Waited an hour for cold food when not super busy. No communication about this until we went and enquired. Burger meat was raw on the inside, parmis, schnitzel and veggies were cold. After waiting an hour, we expected hot fresh food. 2 of the meals were refunded (raw beef burger is hard to deny), the rest of the group just wanted to leave and didn’t bother, leaving half finished plates behind. Very disappointing experience. Do not recommend bothering. Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"I’m from Melbourne and this place blew my socks off. Great coffee, and the food was supreme. Loved the nourish bowl, and the creamy mushroom is a total must try if you like umami. Thanks to the friendly staff for the best meal I’ve had in QLD so far."

"We wandered into the Irish Village Restaurant to have a look and found it very quaint. Large area, with little nooks and crannies everywhere. Cam back for dinner and had a great beef and Guinness pie each. Yum! There was a lovely female singer the first night and we thoroughly enjoyed her laid back music."

"Best coffee in Emerald, a little off the beaten track, but what a good find! Better coffee and customer service than anywhere else in town. Pete also knows his locals very well. Sweet treats from the cabinet were lovely and we returned for a second visit to try the bagels top shelf! Would definitely recommend when stopping in at Emerald."

"What a gem of a place this is. Breakfast and it was full of customers from an early hour. Staff are super efficient and make sure every thing is perfect for their customers. Felt like I was in the original cafe days of the 40's and 50's. Keep up the good work folks - loved it. Oh and the food was excellent too."
