What Jan B doesn't like about The Old Wheatsheaf:
Used to be so good and the atmosphere buzzing. Thursday night only people in the bar all four of us. Food poor quality and some of it had to go back. Waited 40 mins for a glass of wine. Bar was empty and only a few folks in the garden. This used to be our go to place but sadly it’s deteriorated. Never again. View all feedback. What User likes about The Old Wheatsheaf:

read moreNestled in a charming neighborhood, this pub is ideal for casual drinks or satisfying meals, although recent reviews highlight some inconsistencies. While the atmosphere remains inviting and the outdoor space is lovely, service can be haphazard, with long waits for food and drinks, and misunderstandings about menu items. Diners appreciate the variety of beers and have praised specific dishes like roast dinners and fish and chips, indicative of potential. The friendly staff enhance the experience, but better organization and clearer communication are needed. Despite mixed dining experiences, the Pub seems to retain a loyal following for drinks and outdoor gatherings.
