"This Inn is my new favorite! Every room is charmung and decorated beautifully. We were able to look inside the unoccupied rooms and saw that each room is scrupulously clean and comfortable. Even though the rooms are on the second floor the staircase is easy to navigate. There is a cute coffee bar with a variety of snacks. The staff works well together and if they are understaffed we didn't notice because our service was excellent.We chose to stay there for dinner and are glad we did. The food was unique and delicious. Definitely prepared by a chef who knows what they are doing!The setting is peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. We are going to make this our favorite stay in the UP."

"Purchased a large take out order. $111.00. The walnut salad was rubbish. 2 perch dinners had greasy fries, no bread and 4 small fillets. The whitefish dinner had a large gross piece of skin in the order. The New York strip steak was charred, We ordered it medium rare. The hamburger was way over done."

"I made her breakfast pasty this morning and it was fabulous! Plenty of taste and the right size for breakfast. Many times I had her original with the engraving. They are always hot and ready, flaky, tasteful and very full. Absolutely the severity. The staff is really beautiful every time I get in. If you have a sweet tooth, try your homemade waffles and ice cream. I would highly recommend it!"

"We were in the area during the COVID-19 Labor Day Weekend. We had been to the Mystery Spot and decided to take in a 2:00 PM lunch at The Gangplank as they had good reviews. They do not have many tables so we had to wait a few minutes for a second table as we had such a large group. Although the restaurant was not right on the water (it is across the street from it) it still has a nice view. The staff was friendly but the service was slow as we only saw one waitress working. However, it was a holiday so we were not in a hurry. The Gangplank has a large selection of sandwiches, burgers and some salads. Our table started off with the hummus and the wings appetizers. The hummus had so much flavor and was served with two yummy dipping crisps. Nearly all 10 of us ordered something different and it was all excellent. The portions were plentiful and cooked to order. Note: two people in our group work in the restaurant industry and are real foodies. They give The Gangplank two thumbs up!"
