"Midweek at 5 pm, pub was quiet but not empty, food was great, hot, good size portions, we had chicken strips and Calamari to start with. Next steak ale pie also wild venison pie. Both were fantastic, tasty, hot, and very filling so much so we couldn't eat dessert, staff helpful, happy and very polite, very nice place to have a meal, if you get the chance give them a visit. "Usually think this place is great but last week our burger bun was frozen solid, as we couldn’t really eat it the waitress apologised and offered us a dessert instead, but we’re charged for both when we got the bill. Also the men’s toilets were absolutely filthy disappointing"
