Amazing staff , left my phone wallet on the counter , retraced my steps back to takeaway , brilliant guys had found it and rang hotel , shows theres still good...

Smoked cod and chips every thrursday. Yum yum. Huge fish. And lovely chips.

Restaurant itself was a little dingy, staff forgot a drink and dip that we ordered, but it was made up for by incredible food that wowed us all.

"Group dining is not the best basis for judging a restaurant. Our experience was that mass catering is not necessarily a forte here. The service was quick and efficient but the precise care needed for fine dining was missing when dealing with a large group. Perhaps it’s better when a small number. The menu was imaginative but just failed to deliver on quality. The staff were very helpful. It wasn’t a disaster by any means."
