Lots of space to walk around, beautiful environment, very helpful friendly staff offers excellent service. food high quality as usual

I stopped by for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, which was a nice surprise. The restaurant itself looks a little worn, but don't let that discourage you. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun with a lovely view of the river. It was a beautiful setting. We'll definitely be coming back!

We stopped by this lovely restaurant during a bike ride and decided to have a bite to eat. Upon arrival, we saw that the day's menu featured a grill option with five meats and salad for £16. However, since we were looking for something lighter, we didn’t want to pay for the full meal only to leave half of it uneaten. Fortunately, the chef agreed to let us order from the children's menu, which included one meat of our choice along with chips and salad—exactly what we were looking for! We were really pleased with the experience. Five stars! We'll definitely be back.

We visited Carrybridge for lunch, and the meal was quite good. However, one of my guests has a dairy intolerance and ordered the milk-free fish and chips. This is where the issue arose. Another diner had a deep-fried meal that contained milk, and the chefs used the same equipment to prepare both dishes. Despite informing the waiter about the dairy intolerance, who then recommended two milk-free options, my guest has unfortunately been very ill since the meal on Friday. The food was excellent, and my other guest enjoyed her meal, but it's quite concerning when the recommended dish could potentially harm someone.
