"We went to Trixie 's after reading reviews and it was definitely the right call. It 's beautifully simply decor only complements the food and service which were absolutely excellent. We had a seasonal salad and an onion dish to start. We then moved on to the Gnocchi of the day and a mixed mushroom dish which were perfect. No really, I would have changed nothing about either dish. We finished with getting one each of the 3 desserts. I didn 't think it would be possible to use the words 'light but rich ' to describe a chocolate flourless cake but there you have it. A few recommendations... If you want to get the first seating at 5, get there by 4:30 or 4:45 and plan to wait outside as they don 't take reservations and don 't open the doors until 5 sharp. It 's WORTH IT. Also, plan for about 90 minutes. It takes time to prepare food this unique and beautiful."

"The fish boil was fantastic. Our phenomenal fish boil chef (I forget what his official title is but that's what I'm calling him) was very engaging and very passionate about his heritage and home. The fish was fresh caught, and super delicious. We definitely loved the experience. It came to I believe 25$ or so a plate, and came with dessert. Our server was great and offered to take the bones out for us. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The best breakfast burritos! We came in on a very busy morning but the wait time was worth it. These guys and girls work very hard to complete your order and get it to you quickly. The food was flavorful and delicious. Definitely will be enjoying this place again!"

"Seemed to be only place open on a tuesday night in Door County. We were pleased. Food was very good. A little pricey for bar food. $10.00 for about 6 cheese curds) But they were good. Waitress was new but handle herself very well when the evening crowd came in. They had dollar Bill's attached to the ceiling. We were told they give you a quarter and a thumb tack, customer aims for the ceiling. When it sticks, they collect for one year then the donate to a local cause. Very"

"Had some late night apps and dessert here on our last night of our honeymoon. The cheese tray was delicious, I can't get over the maple nuts that came with it... they could probably package and sell those individually. The show stopper though were the desserts. I am absolutely in love with the Slice of Paradise Cake. Key lime, coconut and passion fruit all together is a magical combo. They were all beautifully made and a memorable way to end our evening."

"We always stop for lunch at the White Gull. The service is spectacular and the food portions are very generous (could not finish! . My husband loves the stuffed French toast and it did not disappoint! And those cinnamon rolls!!!! We got one of the last one, and it was amazing! This will be a definite 'must have ' on our future trips up there."

"The best thing about this restaurant for me was the appetizers were ordered (poutine, onion rings, cheese curds), even then, the cheese curds we had in Sheboygan clearly win over these. We had a couple of the fish baskets, perch sandwich, biscuits gravy,and the Benedict Florentine. It was an ok meal, nothing I would tell the whole world about. Guess just come to this restaurantto see the goats on the roof during warmer weather...I 'd recommend trying other places to eat."

"We have not had the pleasure of staying in the motel yet because we have a small dog but so glad that they increased the number of pet rooms... Tried to get a room for this past weekend but of course we tried too late... We do have a reservation for July 4th week and I am so happy for that. Can't wait.. Now as for the cafe. It's a marvelous place to have a meal. We had breakfast there yesterday and it is always marvelous. Have been eating there for 27 -28 years... Our kids call Door County home and Julie's has always been one of their favorites Our's too. Can't say enough how the food and service are wonderful... Thank you to all employees for so many years of great service and of course for wonderful meals.."
