Visited as was working nearby. Been back three times just for the bread pudding. Today it was still warm. Delicious. Best chicken salad sandwich for miles. Love...

"The staff is very attentive and helpful and super nice. the kitchen staff make some delicious food, seriously can not mistake what is served, but they must have the waiter notes regarding what the customer does not want on their teller. that's really important. the wee is not very expensive a decent cab sav £21 ish. the desserts a warm cheesecake (taste like biscoff) with ice. first we were not sure how we never had warm cheesecake, but it works. a portion was great for both of us. If I could give you a advice, I'll give you a tear than a gift. I can't cry or eat kartoffels, but everything was either with pasta or with kartoffels, unless they wanted a light bite salad. I would have thrown it out instead of wasting food that I can't eat and eating only half a dish!"

"We were quickly shown to an available table. Then completely ignored. Staff were walking past all the time and even though we tried to get their attention they ignored us. After 20 minutes we saw someone coming towards us only to go to the table next to us, who came in after us to take their order. We then decided to leave. Such disappointing customer service"

"We had an enjoyable lunch at the 'spirits tasting ' event, the starter was particularly good. We were given a voucher as a gift and had not previously dined at Haywards. We enjoyed the fixed lunch menu and the presentation from Adam representing Essex Spirits. However, we would have preferred a wine tasting experience as we rarely drink spirits."
