I recently dined at a lovely restaurant that features a roof terrace with an outside terrace. The scallop bacon wrapped appetizers were a standout, and the blue cheese filet mignon and NY strips were deliciously cooked to perfection. The meal concluded with the most incredible molten lava cake I have ever tasted. View all feedback.
What Paul Aragon doesn't like about Piripi:
The food was decent, but the appetizers were disappointing as they were very small in portion. I have dined at more upscale restaurants, and this one did not meet that standard. The service was terrible; our drinks and water were constantly empty, and we were only asked if we needed anything after we had finished eating. Ratings: Food 4/5, Service 1/5, Atmosphere 1/5. Overall the food was delicious! we had many of their tapas – pulpo, calamari, artichoke etc. – and they were all great. the muddles felt a bit old and tough, but that was the only material (the broth was delicious! it was only the seafood itself). from a menu perspective the tapas menu has made sense, but the Entree menu has really stretched out more Italian and there was the churrasco style steak (cook give us the real deal! entraña and garnel it felt really like there were two different restaurants. from service perspective it is closer to a 3 of 5. the waiter has done the mere minimum. When they came by, they asked if we wanted to put up a food order while we were just ordering drinks. no introduction to the restaurant (or even really) or popular menu items. it felt very hastened for a late sitting and not waiting behind us. I had to check the menu to understand the concept that does not really make sense in view of what I said above in relation to the menu. Once we finished the first round of the tapas we ordered, they assumed we were done and asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. we were rarely checked and felt as if it were a and done deal once they order. very different from typical tapas restaurant. that all is said, it is easier to adjust the menu and the service than eating completely missing. we left know that we have a new big chef in the opposite who still trains it. make the service more personal and enthusiastic, clean up the menu, and improve the quality of seafood, and this review would change to a 5 very fast.
Great appetizers, paella, drinks and music! Highly recommended.
We were do impressed by their paella last night! Definitely try and attend their monthly paella dinners. Delicious, flavorful and worth it!
Great place. Trendy atmosphere. Delicious food! Wonderful service.
Enjoyable experience wonderful food, attentive and friendly service, and inviting atmosphere. The food and cocktails were flavorful without being overwhelming. The only negative - my stomach got full before I was able to try more. I look forward to returning for many more enjoyable experiences.
