Backwoods Tavern - Errol

After traveling for 4 hours heading home from vacation, we decided to stop here for lunch, walked in, no one welcomed us, we asked where the bathroom was after looking around for a few minutes to see if we sit ourselves or if they sit us, we went to the bathroom, came back out, again no said anything to us about anything, we felt un-welcomed so we left and decided to go next door for lunch, as we were leaving a lady said out of a window of the restaurant “no no no this isn’t a public bathroom”. I was very upset as we originally came to enjoy lunch and did not feel welcomed at all so we left. Never again will be coming to this restaurant.

Great service food! We'll be back for sure. The menu is varied bartender/server Nikki was positively delightful.

The meals were terribly bad. The pasta with chicken and parmesan cheese consisted of a water thin tomato soup with some spaghetti in it and a chicken schnitzel floating in it with a few tufts of parmesan cheese. The salads consisted of more than 80 percent ice lettuce (even stems here and there) The pasta with shrimp consisted of a pile of spaghetti with some butter and a few shrimps. Really a very bad experience.

We were passing through Errol, food was pretty good but we didn't feel welcomed by the waitress from the start. Would not recommend

Delicious American cuisine, kids loved the pizza. Small friendly restaurant. Will be back again our next trip through the north woods for sure.
