I have been coming to The Blue Heron for as long as they have been open. The beer is great but for awhile the food had issues. Now that Ken has taken over the restaurant, the food is fantastic! We did a couple of flights and most of the beers I tasted were pretty good, but a few just weren't for me. I've never been to the location in Dixon, so it may be a better atmosphere there, but at this location in Espanola we sat outside and wereserenaded by the cars revving their engines on the street. Awesome burgers, pizza, salmon and salads. Clean and quiet atmosphere. Limited beer selection but all are good.
Best food and wine I've had in years! Waitstaff were wonderful! The wine was excellent! I will return frequently!
Ken's Cuisine is absolutely fantastic. If you long REAL homemade Italian food, go here. It's perfection. You have beer on tap, that's also delicious. The entire staff is friendly. Seriously. We had aubergine parmesan and lasagna. The best I've had for years.

Loved to taste my flight of 5 beers, excellent food including Calamari, portabello mushroom filled Ravioli, Lasagna, Aubergines parmesan, Pasta Primavera, deserts for dying. Upscale furnished with linen tablecloths and roses shaped napkin, service was attentive without being too intrusive. I have to go back to try the pizza beer.
