"We went for a birthday dinner. Luckily the birthday person ordered the steak apparently it was good but the pork belly twice cooked was actually pork ribs and so sorry but dry and not yum salad yum was best on then plate very tasty, staff nice enough. Just a disappointment, sorry."

"Definitely a place to stop by for pies and cakes before heading out to the beaches. My favorite would be the satay chicken sticks, don’t ask me why but they are addictive. Pies are delicious especially the potato steak pies. The custard puffs are nice too. Don’t expect the best of service though."

"Just went and bought dinner from here tonight with another family (we ordered the 2 pack) Appalling is being very lenient!!!Very small portion of fish, chips for a family of 4 was laughable, about 7 each!!!Dim sims and spring rolls were ok!Potato scollops were that thin I could have shaved with them!!How in the world people have said this is probably the best in WA, one can only assume those reviews were written by family members!!!!Will never recommend!!"

"There is a lot to say that is great at this unpretentious little hotel. a wonderful view of the coast, great location close to the center, comfortable beds, good breakfast and a good restaurant overall, but really the staff makes the difference. friendly, helpful, efficient....only great people! my wife and I arrived as a long-distance bike tourist and because of a baggage disorder in the last 30 km of Gibson, I lost my bike unit approx. 10 km outside the city. After looking around the esplanade, I mentioned the loss of the hotel reception and they had seen something on facebook. long story short, 24 hours later a good samaritan named shannon, who was a local boilermaker, brought my bicycle to the hotel door. what a legendary one that sees it costs $350 but was its weight in gold for our road safety, but also how switched on were the hotel staff! they had their understanding on the job and made the connections to contact shannon! all the legendary! the workers like these are also worth their weight in gold!"

"We were recommended this place by a very kind local lady when we were walking our pup. Due to Covid, they only do takeaways now. We had the Special Fried Rice Chilli Beef. They were both so yummy it hit the spot for us! When the lady asked us how spicy we 'd like the beef to be, we said very spicy please.. as we can both take spice very well.. She asked, '100% spicy? ' We said yes please! And true enough it WAS 100% spicy! So please think twice before you decide how spicy you 'd like your food to be. Our lips are still tingling an hr later. Hahaa! No such thing as small town mediocre Chinese restaurant kinda food from this place! It was good! Thank you! "

"The food was good , but the service was better. The Indian couple welcomed us even when they decided to close business early that evening. We were the only couple in the whole restuarant, but they served us with warmth and quality."
