Espira is the best place to drink a drink. We find that kindness we don't find anywhere else. Besides the burgers, it's too good, and Caesar's salad too.

"Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food was amazing, beautifuly spiced without being overdone. I had the eggplant salad (divine!), perfectly marinated chicken kebabs, and a lovely green sald with sunflower seeds and a tart dressing. Yum. My friends had the lamb tagine and it was beautifuly prepared and seasoned, arrived at the table piping hot with homemade pita. I was lucky enough to have a taste, and next time that is what I will order (with the eggplant, of course). The desserts were equally fabulous. Lovely sorbets with Mediterranean flavorings, unusual but very tasty and refreshing. All the sorbets were served with a small pastry--one a crunchy version of a sugar cookie, one with dates, and another with sesame seeds. More yum. And I haven't even talked about the wine the owner recommended--went perfectly with the meal--or the nice decor--or how friendly and helpful the owner and cooks were helping us make our choices. And best of all, the price was fair, well below what I am used to paying for a comparable meal in the UK or the USA. Go try it, you'll be glad you did."

"We went here for lunch today. When we arrived we were surprised by the surroundings, the edge of am industrial estate. From the moment you enter this restaurant you know it is something special. The decor is lovely. The staff fantastic. As for the food.... amazing. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a wonderful lunch"
