Toscani has been an institution in Essen, the first shop opened in the late 1950s when their presentation of ice cream was quite a novelty. If you like ice craem, this is the place for you. You can sit in - and you'll have the choice of wonderful ice cream creations - or take a cone away. What User doesn't like about Toscani:
this is a centrally located restaurant with a very extensive menu. Eat here if you are hungry as it is more for functional eating than anything else. Service is slow and off hand but that is quite typical here so perhaps not a negative thing but more a style that you get used to.
