"I have to say it has been a really long time since I've been to the OP3, like 30 years.... am I that old now? I moved out of the Waterloo area in 1991 and through time I now live in Minneapolis. I spent a short vacation in Evansdale with some relatives and jumped at the chance to hit the old stomping ground. The atmosphere at the OP has not changed and that is a good thing. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. She brought drinks right away and saw we were talking and offered to come back to get food orders. I will interject here that I did use the restroom and found it to be very clean and well stocked. Soap for washing hands and plenty of paper towels to dry your hands. The restroom even smelled good. An extra thank you to the OP staff for that. The food came in what I would consider an average amount of time. Again, I don't think that is a bad thing, rather it means the food was correctly prepared and done so with the intent of everyone getting their food at the same time. My meal was excellent and right along the lines of all the good memories I had of eating at the OP. I've been to the other OP's and always thought the Evansdale OP was the better of the 3. Once again they have proved my opinion correct. The OP in Evansdale is the perfect place for a group or just a quick bite. The food is simple and delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. If you've been to the OP in Evansdale you know what I mean. If you haven't been there I would recommend you give them a try. It's what I would call down home Iowa Bar n Grill food that is sure to satisfy. Thanks OP for the happy new memory of one of my old places."

"Bryan and his wife Brooke gave us a magical experience when they accompanied our wedding. From the pork chops with Habanero pineapple sauce, Ruck chicken, rice and beans, pasta salad, fruit and much more. The Rasta-Limonade should die. Everyone who visited the wedding razed over the food and above all the amazing service and her smiling faces. I HIGHLY recommend Cotton Wood for all your catering requirements. Thank you, Bryan. "First time coming in tonight. We originally was going to go to huhot, but after standing there for 10 mins without someone greeting us, I decided why not go next door? Oh man! Best decision! We got the crab rangoon nachos ??? I will have dreams about these nachos. Drink service was slow, which is a big one for us, especially after a long work week, BUT we'll definitely be back! The whole team was extremely nice and apologized for the wait on drinks, and the food came out super fast. Might have found one of our favorites in the Cedar Valley?"
