Brake for pie! My family loves this place. The country fried steak makes us feel like we are back in the South. My father-in-law, a man born and raised in Alabama who loves liver and onions, says Hilltop has some of the best liver and onions he's ever had Pro Tip: I highly recommend taking an extra slice of Dutch Apple pie home to hide from the kids and eat after their bedtime. What User doesn't like about Hilltop Truck Stop:
My other half just returned home from what was his last trip to hilltop unless customer service improves. No more multi page menu, now it’s all on one sheet, no more fountain drinks, you need to buy overpriced drinks from the cooler. The pie slices shrank but the cost for them didn’t, and did you notice, there’s no phone number on the receipt. “Grab and Go” that far out of town? No thanks, if I want grab and go, Holi... We decided to try some pie at this restaurant based on a friend's suggestion and we were very pleased with our experience. It is the cleanest truck stop I have ever visited. The staff was extremely courteous and the pie was delicious!
This restaurant is located at a truck stop and serves incredibly delicious pie. It is among the best I have ever tasted and is the top choice for pie in this area.
The homemade pies and selection of supplies and fuel were a nice touch. The pies were good, especially the blueberry filling which was delicious, though the crust was just ok. Overall, it was a pleasant spot to stop after a hike.
Drove out to get some breakfast. We had the biscuits and gravy, two eggs and a morning burger. The food was delicious. Staff is very friendly.
We stopped in for a bite to eat because it was recommended by some locals. We had a great experience. The food was very good and plenty of it. We were told The pie is famous. We did get that to go which turned out to be amazing.The waitress and staff were very friendly. If your ever in the Fox Alaska area I highly recommend stopping by.
