The average review for Panadería La Viequense is 4.1, which means that the guests have a very high opinion of this place.

What John S likes about Panadería La Viequense:
Good sandwiches, donuts and coffee, but it is a bit expensive. Two of each cost about $30. Service was ok, but they don’t have dine-in seating at the moment so to-go orders only. They open early at 6am, so good for breakfast before catching the ferry or before exploring the island. View all feedback.

What irene r doesn't like about Panadería La Viequense:
March 24 2022 they are still not letting people in to eat. Where the service they provide is mostly to turists and visitors of the island that obviously doesn't have where to eat or what to do it outside. Poor service. View all feedback.

Great Boston cream donuts and corn muffin!! Looks like we devoured them too quickly to take a picture. People ahead of me in line were raving about the sandwich...

"I've eaten four times during my trip to vieques. they have more vegan options than other places and really friendly staff. the dishes are simple, but fresh, from arroz con habichuelas (rice and bohnen) to their vegan kanu. will be here next time you visit!"

"My wife and I visited on a Wednesday evening in March 2018, nearly 6 months after hurricanes Irma and Maria blasted the island. Recovery has been slow, but even while we were there for the week, two other popular restaurants finally re-opened. Coqui Fire was highly recommended to us by friends who had visited Vieques pre-storm, and we were looking forward to the food based upon the incredible photos and menus posted on the Facebook page. We arrived around 6:30PM, without reservations, and quickly realized our mistake. The place is cozy and on the smaller side, so seating fills up quickly. Fortunately, there was another couple who had arrived just a minute before us, who were in the same position. The other couple suggested sharing a table and the wonderful hostess was able to find a table for four. So, two couples who head been strangers only minutes before, quickly got to know one another and had a wonderful evening together. We split an appetizer of chips and fresh guacamole and I had a Coqui Fire Margarita, with their hot sauce in it. For dinner, I had pork fajitas and my wife had a chicken burrito. Both were excellent! I tried two different flavors of their famous hot sauces and both were very good. For dessert, we shared a very tasty banana custard dessert. The atmosphere inside Coqui Fire Cafe is great, as we were fortunate to have a table right near the kitchen, where we could watch the food being prepared and had opportunities to interact with the chef, who gave us his recommendations and checked in on us during the meal to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, our favorite meal during our week on the island. I highly recommend visiting this place when you come to Vieques. Just be sure to make reservations in advance, so you don't miss out!"
