My goodness. You know a place is good when you can't stop talking about it once you've left. Honestly the smoked salmon brioche was beautiful. Delicate on the most amazing brioche I've ever tasted. I had a lunch of the day set in here food was rather mediocre, probably nothing compared to their dinner menu. but I felt annoyed, as they didn't bring me soup at all, only informed after main dish (and only because I asked) that it's either soup or dessert option. so even if this wasn't mentioned on the info board, they assumed I chose dessert. right. same story with cafe, which was also included, but they brought m... We were looking for a light/quick Portuguese lunch near the Faro city center and we tried this typical restaurant. As a starter we tried a small plate of Portuguese ham (were literally 5 slices, of average/mediocre quality of ham for SEVEN euros. Completely unfair). Then, We tried curry shrimps with rice and salad, beef sandwich and fried sweet potatoes. The sandwich was good, while the shrimps were mediocre. Really great fish petiscos (tapas) and wine selection
A really lovely little place, with very friendly staff. Some nice Algarve wine choices (plus other regions) and some very enjoyable Portuguese tapas. The Diablo prawns were delicious but oh so spicy! The sharing board is a must have with a delicious selection of cheeses.
