Passing through, we stopped for lunch. There are plenty of great options for both vegetarians in the family and the meat-eaters as well.
The flavors are bold and delicious. While the vegan option may not be a traditional burger, all burgers can be made vegan.
The only vegan options available at this restaurant are the burgers or a house salad. However, the atmosphere is charming and the portions are generous.
Imaginative Southwest brunch items: salads, burgers (available vegan burger and cheese), sandwiches, tacos. My favorite is the Wayfarer: Quesadilla with pepper jack cheese, basil, sauteed onions and mushrooms, black beans on locally made tortilla, $11. They are pricey, but huge so you can save half for dinner. Look out for the spicy house George sauce. Friendly service, casual vibe, LOTS of alcohol. Pre pandemic, they had live entertainment. It can get very crowded on weekends; the university is nearby. I am always the oldest person in the place. The parking lot is a mess, not at all maintained or organized. In/Outdoor tables. Noisy music. There is another Nomads Trailside a few miles north, similar fare.
The only things that can be vegan are the burger or a home salad, but the place is super sweet and it was very full
