"Non-imposing little restaurant but a fabulous treasure! The service was very friendly, frank yet non-intrusive. We started with a pork sausage Musetto with grated horseradish on the side and a potato purée that was smooth and authentic. Then, breast of quail tender and sweet.. grilled with rosemary and sage, accompanied by sautéed swiss chard alongside batons of golden celery root, both sweet and nutty, and a creamy white polenta. A local red wine was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The finish was an unctuous,decadent panna cotta alongside miniature poached pears in a pool of a sweet red wine sauce; in the center of each pear was a morsel of chocolate with essence of hazelnut. Sumptuous and satisfying. The meal was definitely conducive to love,: with one's partner, with the world and with life in general. What more can you wish for?"
