We went to Grand Duk for a team lunch. Most of us opted for the lunch set which lets you choose a protein main and two sides. I went with the waiter's suggestion of the pulled pork main, and steamed Asian vegetables and Italian salad as my sides. The food came quickly and was a good serving for the price. While the food wasn't amazing, it was solid and tasty. One minor quibble was that I wish it was served hotter especially as it was a cold day. But everyone was satisfied with their meals. The burgers were also well received, as well as the duck fat wedges which were beautifully fluffy inside but retained a crisp exterior. Besides the quick service, the menu also caters to various dietary needs. Lots of space and large tables, though most are exposed to the weather so I'm not sure what it would be like if it's raining. A few more outdoor heaters in winter wouldn't hurt either. Overall, would definitely recommend for casual group lunches (and they've also recently started dinner).
Grand Duk is a chic place to have lunch in Sydney CBD. We had a lovely brunch here sometime ago and I still remember how delicious everything we had was. I adore the interior of Grand Duk. It's got beautiful marble table tops (perfect for flatlays) and plush deep green leather seating. <br/ <br/ I'm loving Eggs Benedict with Seared Salmon, The Breakfast Bowl, Avocado Lime and Coriander Smash, Salt and Pepper Squid, rice rolls Sichuan Duck, Tiger Prawn and Spice Tofu Enoki, served with hoisin peanut dip.<br/ <br/ My favourite has got to be Coconut Yoghurt Chia Pot. It was light, creamy and delicious. Loving the desiccated coconut and blueberry toppings.<br/ <br/ We finished our brunch off with dessert. Can't say no to dessert! Deep Fried Ice Cream was crunchy on the outside, and melts in your mouth at first bite. <br/ <br/ For more cute Instagram food pix, find me<br/ @hellomissmay<br/ <br/ and more food adventure on the blog<br/ hellomissmay.com
Celebrated the end of a client engagement with breakfast at the Grand Duk with my senior. Usually only ordered coffee at this place before heading back upstairs, but we had time to spare on a Friday morning today! Service was average, nothing amazing, got seated after waiting a while without being served, but that's fine.<br/ <br/ We both ordered the brekky's nest $15), and wasn't expecting much. What we were served, was quality food for a quality price. Definitely would order again if possible! Nothing too special in the cappuccino, but the food more than makes up for it. The photo speaks for itself. <br/ <br/ Definitely would recommend! Especially if you work around Circular Quay.

Some colleagues and I looked for a nearby cafe serving brunch and stumbled cross Grand Duk, a unique, tuckshop like food stall that also offers brunch menus. Today we opted for the canteen style meal of two mains and two sides, myself picking the pulled pork, ginger chicken, Portuguese chicken salad and sweet potato salad.<br/ <br/ The food here is best described as homely, with a really modern Asian fusion taste. I didn't know they were a Vietnamese styled restaurant until I landed on the zomato page now, however I particularly enjoyed the pulled porks aromatic flavour paired with the fresh sweet potato, and a tender chicken.<br/ <br/ Homely, good, hearty food that I would recommend in an outdoor goldcoast like ambience. Fast service as well (less than a minute receiving food)! <br/ <br/ Food: 4/5<br/ Service: 4/5<br/ Ambience: 4/5<br/ Value: 3.5/5<br/ <br/ Overall: 4/5
