We’ve visited lots of times since 2016, and particularly enjoyed recent meals, where we’ve explored the traditional specialties part of the menu, which are interesting, tasty and distinguish the restaurant from others we’ve enjoyed in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester etc. Maxin is a local, under-appreciated gem that we’ll be delighted to enjoy again in coming months. What Coffeeamor doesn't like about New Maxin:
I don't like to openly criticise a restaurant but this was genuinely the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Maxin's used to have a good reputation in Kirkcaldy but it's really gone downhill. Bland food, slimy tasteless chicken, fried rice that wasn't even fried and chow mein that was inedible. Sad to say that most of the meal ended up in the bin. Really, really poor. View all feedback.
