"Great wine restaurant! what a sound. in a small proximity to the main road, but it is worth looking for. the small garden in the back ideal when they visit with children who like a winey nose around. so glad we picked it up! great food, nice selection of local food, seafood and German specialties. all homemade and delicious! the bisque was great, garlic bread with anchovy was a nice note. my jaeger schnitzel was a great choice, finally something else. reminded me of home and the large continental kitchen. the wildness of my wife and the wild mushroom lasagne was also very tasty. the children's menu was super simple and good ballanced, the young had chicken strips and fried kartoffeln. once again a well-made dish, although it is for children. the fried kartoffeln were still something completely different! wow! beautiful selection of German beers! the staff also made us feel at home: dakujeme! total, great wee restaruant! when in cuoar, we will always go to eat there!"

"This is the best place I have ever eaten! The setting is small, well presented and homely front room with only a handful of tables. The person waiting on you is the owner, and she is incredibly friendly, making conversation, discussing the food and wine with you and generally being a fantastic host. The food is really amazing! You will eat food that you have eaten a hundred times before, say a potato, but suddenly you taste something that you did not know could be achieved with this ingredient. I kept expecting to find some part of the dish that was not so great, but even food I normally would not like (like cabbage) simply becomes something tastier than I could imagine. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! It is the best place to eat in this entire region of Scotland!"

"We visited the Peat Inn prior to lockdown 2020, I was 8 months pregnant at the time. When asked about any dietary requirements I pointed out that I was pregnant which meant there was things I couldnt eat, and the servers response was you'll need...to tell us what you can't have This was difficult as it wasn't entirely clear what you were getting from the tasting menu, so I didnt add any more at this point. Having used multiple wedding vouchers during the previous 11 months to this point, including other Michelin starred restaurants, every other response to my dietary requirements was essentially no problem. Our first course came and I started eating it without realising it was raw fish, which is something I shouldn't have been eating so I ended up pretty upset and pretty much ruined the night. No fault to the food, but bad customer service. The cost of our drinks were taken off the bill, which must have been their form of apology, until they realised we had a voucher for the food."

"Wow the Chai Tea and Chai Latte are excellent. Along with a little nibble of the wonderful chocolate made on the premises. We decided not to sit in as anxious to get on to the coastal path to walk, though would go back to eat as the food menu seemed good. We took our take away drinks and little chocolate rabbits to eat and drink en route to Anstruther. Absolutely lovely with the wonderful chocolate and the tastiest Chai drinks with all the spices coming through was decadent, along with the beautiful views along the Fife coast."
