"Wayback Burgers proved to be a nice surprise. We stopped on the way from Stockton, hungry, and definitely not wanting anything to do with the usual fast food suspects. The menu is easy to sort: the main attraction is the burgers; a variety of favorites can be ordered, or you can start from scratch and create your own. There is a nice choice of toppings, from veggies to cheese and of course bacon. A variety of sauces are offered as well. Aside from burgers, there are other options including salads and chicken. Side items include homemade fries, onion rings and potato chips. Other than the chips, everything ordered tasted fresh and the burgers were really quite good. The ingredients tasted crisp, the meat was well prepared and not too salty, nor greasy. Everything is made to order, so expect to wait a few minutes. Unfortunately the pandemic hasn't helped; staffing at this location was thin, causing two ladies to pretty much run the restaurant on their own. That said service was friendly. Pricing is reasonable and fair for the quality. While I can't say when I would next be in the area, I definitely would return."

"After a long day on the road and a longer ride, this place was a great place to stop and recharge. Really good food with clean bathrooms and a gift shop, which is well equipped with various neat items. Be not deceived, this fine little hidden treasure is most likely open, but you would know that if you are in front of it. The staff was very nice and the service was very fast. I marked this on my Google card and we will make it a frequent stop when we drive this direction from now on."
